Having Fun with your Girlfriends

What kind of fun do you have with your besties when you spend time together?

I am preparing for my second annual Girl's Weekend Sleepover next month. It started by accident last year when my brother invited my kids for a boys weekend away. My girlfriends and I decided to get together and we had so much fun that we decided to do it again this year...and maybe more friends will join in for all or part of the festivities this time around.

Last year's will be hard to top. We started out on Friday evening with a dinner and comedy show, which had us laughing for hours, followed by drinks at a low-key but nice bar.

The next morning we slept in, then went to the Seafood Festival in Point Pleasant Beach for the afternoon and strolled around sampling delicious chowder, crab legs, and other great stuff.

We came home and relaxed over magazines and conversation, then dressed for a nice dinner out and went to a fabulous Italian restaurant for dinner. Afterwards we came home, blasted music, drank some wine and played cards 'til all hours of the morning, telling stories and laughing all night.

Sunday morning we went out for a nice breakfast, and then went to the outlets for shopping, where we all treated ourselves to something new, followed by lunch and goodbyes.

We may try to incorporate some of the same great activities again this year...but I think we may need to add in some spa treatments or mani-pedi's, right?
