I think we've all had enough snow for a while, and now that a lot of schools have called a snow day for tomorrow, we could probably all go for a cocktail right about now.

After a long day of shoveling, treat yourself to a little heat, courtesy of the Heat Miser Margarita.

You remember the Heat Miser, right?

This week's cocktail has a little heat, a little sweet, and will have you feeling warmed up in no time.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. spicy tequila**
  • .5 oz. triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 2 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1 oz. lime juice
  • ancho chili powder, to garnish
  • coarse salt, to garnish
  • pineapple wedge, to garnish

**To make spicy tequila, you can slice up a jalapeno (or other hot pepper) and let it sit in a mason jar for a few days...or just muddle some tequila with diced jalapenos and strain. And don't cheap out. No good can come from cheap tequila.)

Mix together equal parts ancho chili powder and salt. Rim a margarita glass with lime juice and dip into chili salt mixture. Combine remaining ingredients over ice and pour into rimmed glass. Add pineapple wedge, and transport yourself to a spicy paradise!

*Please drink responsibly.*
