Stephan Sears is a member of the U.S. Army stationed in Georgia. Before that he was a local volunteer EMT. While away serving, his 11-month-old son Wyatt passed away unexpectedly.

I have more respect, admiration and gratitude for those who serve and protect than anyone else. The least we can do is help this Jersey Shore family, one of our own, properly bury their son.

As Justin Meehan, the creator of a GoFundMe site to help the Sears family wrote:

I typically don't ask people to help with donations but this one really hit home for me.  My good friend/previous co-worker and his wife had a terrible tragedy today.  Their beloved son Wyatt passed away unexpectedly.  Stephen Sears is an American Soldier for the US Army stationed in Georgia.  We all know American Soldiers don't get paid the way they deserve.  I'm asking everyone to help donate & share this so we can raise enough money to take the financial burden off this poor family.  It's hard enough coping with the loss of your child and I would like them to spend time with their family while they mourn and not worry about their financials during that time.  I know people live paycheck to paycheck but even $1 goes along way.  Please help pass this along so we can help an American hero and his family during this difficult time. Thank you in advance!!

There's nothing we do better in Monmouth/Ocean than take care of our own. Please consider making a donation to this family and keep them in your thoughts.
