Did you ever wonder how some Monmouth County towns got their names. Let's hit the history books and do a little quiz right now.

I'll give you a clue about how a few Monmouth County towns got their names. See if you can figure out which towns they are.

Town 1...was named after a U.S. Senator who's first name was Garret.

Town 2...was named after the contents of the mud that was prevalent in the area.

Town 3...got it's name by shortening the Native American name given to the land by the Lenni-Lenapé tribe.

There you go. Three towns. Three clues. Can you name the towns? Give it a try! We'll publish the official answers tomorrow. Good luck!
