What do you do with your hair when you know the weather is going to be miserable?

From baseball caps to ponytails, sometimes there is no dealing with my hair.

Some people have hair that droops and becomes limp on a rainy day. Then there are those of us who deal with a FRIZZY mass of hay.

My hair has a personality of its own. Sometimes it is wonderful. Other times it is moody. It retains water. It becomes bloated.

In other words, my hair hates the rain. It hates the humidity. And it rebels. So this morning, when I woke up to a downpour, I knew there was no flat iron that was gonna keep this hair down.

I considered a baseball cap, but I am unlucky enough to have a large head. Top that with giant hair, and a baseball cap does NOT stand a chance of staying on my head, unless I weigh it down with a rock.

Ponytail? Meh. I could.

Braids? Much more likely to keep all of my hair in order, and then I could pull on the baseball cap. But it isn't always the prettiest of looks unless you like to look like you're trying to be ten years old.

Bun? I hate buns. Always have. Not for me.

Product? I have tried every de-frizz and un-frizz and fight-frizz product out there. Nothing helps on this kind of day.

Hairdresser? YES!!!! But I can't call her at 3:30 am to come to my house and do my hair, now can I?

Bandana or one of those buffs from Survivor? Maybe next time. Not a bad thought.

But for today, I had no patience left. So I twisted it into a giant snake and clipped it to the top of my head. And left the 'tail' sticking straight up like a nest.

And now Lou gets to look at that all morning.

SO...how do YOU handle a bad hair day?
