Our friends at Hometown Heroes, the 501(c3) non-profit that helped countless families and business recover after Hurricane Sandy, suffered their own tragedy this morning, and they need our help.

This morning's fire on Robbins St. in downtown Toms River, just up the street from the Point studios, completely destroyed the HH office, along with other businesses.

They may never be allowed back in the building, which means they've lost everything: computers, records, and of the sentimental things like awards and thank you cards from the folks they've helped before and after the storm.

The crew that works there are among the kindest people you'll ever meet, and they genuinely love to help people. They are there for everyone in times of crisis, so now in their time of crisis, it's time for all of us to return the favor so they can get back on their feet.

There are two ways to help: donate directly to Hometown Heroes by clicking HERE or visit the GoFundMe page set up for them by clicking HERE. The goal is $10,000...even if you can only contribute 5 bucks, every little bit will help!

Our hearts go out to entire HH crew, as well as our other neighbors up the street who have lost everything. Downtown Toms River is a small community, and we hope to see a complete recovery soon.
