Brick Police place a Howell man in handcuffs after he was identified as the suspect who walked into the 711 on Burnt Tavern Road and started demanding money on Tuesday morning around 2:32 am.

The store manager told police that a white male, with dark hair and a full thick beard who was about 25-30 years old wearing a black shirt and pants, came in and grabbed one of the workers while making his demands.

When the employees refused to give him the money he grabbed another employee by the shirt and began yelling and screaming at both men still demanding the money.

The suspect then let go of the employee and walked outside to the parking lot where he allegedly became physical with the other employee who was on the phone with dispatch.

He then ran off towards the Gulf gas station located across the street.

Both victims said they were not injured and declined medical attention.

Officers began a search for the suspect and examined security footage that confirmed all the events that transpired.

Both employees said the suspect was seen in the store two hours before the incident took place.

While one of the patrolman was conducting a search in the rear of the Gulf station he observed a white male matching the exact description given out earlier.

The male suspect, later identified as 31-year old Martin Kirsch, was taken into custody without incident.

Kirsch was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and charged with second degree Robbery and was then transported and lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
