Howell Township Police Department's 111 officers serve about 55,000 people within 63 square miles. Chief Andrew Kudrick says that he's looking for leaders with dedication to service and community commitment aimed at preserving Howell's quality of life.

The department is accepting resumes through Monday, May 24, either in-person at the headquarters on Old Tavern Road, or overland mail to Howell Township Police Department, attention Carlene Tanner, P.O. Box 580, Howell, NJ 07731-0580. No e-mails, and no phone calls.

Starting pay corresponds with training and experience, as determined by the Howell PBA Local 228 collective bargaining agreement.

There is a lengthy list of standards for qualification, and a shorter, but equally-pivotal, list of disqualifying criteria.
