I walked over to the light switch yesterday to turn it on and I hesitated. During the power outage, I was trying to train myself to not bother hitting the switch, since it wasn't working anyway. Since the outage lasted so long, I'm finding myself having to remind myself that it IS working.

But believe me I'm not taking it for granted. I feel like thanking that light switch every time it works. The same applies to roads being passable and traffic lights working and stores being open when you need them. The storm rocked just about everything we take for granted. But we won't take them for granted anymore.

So thank you traffic lights and stores and light switches and open roads. And thank you to all the hard working people who helped get them back in working order. We won't take you for granted anymore either!
