Iconic Bayville Sub Shop Is Making A Comeback

The picture above was taken from Richard's Facebook page and was taken, it looks like, five years ago.

Richard's Subworld & Deli has long been an icon not only in my life but in Bayville as well. This mom-and-pop sub shop goes down the BEST in my book. I have been coming here ever since I was a kid and will return whenever they reopen their doors.

In June, Ocean County was shocked when we learned that long time favorite Richard's Subworld & Deli caught fire. It hits home especially for my family because my parents have been coming to the establishment ever since my brother and I were toddlers.

I have been driving past Richard's for the past couple of weeks and I'm so happy to say that I have been seeing construction workers on almost every day of the week. It looks like they did some cleaning, and replaced the burned roof with a new one. They all did this rather fast, and I'm loving it.
