The Inkwell Coffeehouse in Long Branch is holding a concert this Sunday for a great cause!

The Inkwell is partnering with Move For Hunger, a national non-profit based in Asbury Park, to host a food drive in conjunction with its "Noise in the Attic" concert on Sunday, Oct. 16th, 8:30 pm..

Admission to the event is $5 OR 2 non-perishable food items. Anyone who is unable to attend but would still like to make a donation can do so at the Inkwell through October 17th.

The Inkwell, 665 Second Ave., Long Branch, has been a popular Jersey Shore coffeehouse since the 1960s. They have tables as old as time and more to come! I have loved this place since I was old enough to drive myself there...I used to live for their Dutch Coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Move For Hunger will deliver all of the collected items to the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Nearly 60,000 people in Monmouth County, including 1 in 7 children, face hunger. Through the support of places like the Inkwell, Move for Hunger can continue to help those struggling to find their next meal.

Move For Hunger mobilizes the relocation industry to reduce food waste and fight hunger. They work with companies across the U.S. and Canada to collect unopened, non-perishable food from people who are relocating and deliver it to local food banks. To date, their network has collected over 7 million pounds of food -- that's 6 million meals -- for the nearly 50 million Americans who struggle with food insecurity.
