To this day investigators believe Mark had been abducted.

Mark was last reportedly seen by a Cape May County Park-South guard near a playground Mark was walking towards around 4 p.m November 25, 1991.

All that was left behind was one of Mark's shoes near the marsh.

The phone call was traced to a pay phone outside of a gas station in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, the NBC report goes on to say, and the name "Gilbert Patrick Marie" was given along with the caller saying "I’m the son of the witness of the crime."

That appears the closest investigators have come in their still active search for Mark all these years later.

A GoFundMe page set up in 2016 has since been closed and only collected a little over $800.00 out of a $50,000.00 goal-total in what was said to be reward money for anyone who can help find Mark and more info, Townsquare Media New Jersey News and New Jersey 101.5 reported.

While the Middle Township Police Department, Cape May County Prosecutor's Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation continue to investigate this case, anyone with information leading to the return of Mark Himebaugh, who would now be in his late 30's, and the answers to the many surrounding questions should call the authorities involved.

You can call the Middle Township Police Department at 609-465-8700, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678, the Cape May County Crime Stoppers at 609-463-2800 or the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office at 609-465-1135.
