iPlay America, the indoor amusement park in Freehold, is getting bigger and better!

The facility announced plans for a $2.5 million expansion, taking place in three phases.

According to a press release, phase one was actually already completed, with the installation of a new coffee shop called The Grind featuring items like lattes, hot and iced teas, frozen drinks, pastries, and other snacks.

The next phase, expected to open later this month, is a 20,000-sq. ft. "warehouse-style event space" called Warehouse 100, which when added to their existing event space can hold 3,500 people.

The final phase is the most exciting for the park itself, as iPlay adds 8,000 sq. ft. to the exisiting area for a new spinning coaster called Freedom Rider, as well as the Sky Trail high-ropes course, which will be the largest indoor course in the state. There will also be a smaller ropes course for younger kids.

There are also new arcade games and food options planned.

Obviously I'm always down for coffee, but I'm most excited for the high-ropes course. They are are seriously fun for adults and awesome for team-building exercises with organizations and co-workers.

The last phase of the expansion is expected to be finished by May 2016.
