Diane and I went to dinner at the JBJ Soul Kitchen in Red Bank last night, and it really is a special, awesome place.

Before you even get inside, you know it's something great and unique as you walk through the vegetable garden, where they grow some of the ingredients that will go into the awesome food. The next thing that strikes you is the strong sense of community.

As you head inside, you can't help but experience a welcoming feeling. The staff and volunteers know they are doing very important, satisfying work, and it shows. It's such a warm, friendly place that as we sat there, we found ourselves already planning our next trip there.

At the JBJ Soul Kitchen, they know that times are tough, and they don't turn anyone away. If you can't afford to pay for your food, you can volunteer as your payment. It's truly a community restaurant.

And the food is amazing! Plus we had the great pleasure of meeting Jon Bon Jovi's dad! He's a great guy and was so much fun to talk to you. Great meeting you Mr. B!
