Jenkinson’s Penguin Spotlight – Jewel

It's time to meet another one of the adorable penguins that call Jenkinson's Aquarium home. Say hi to Jewel.

Jewel is one of the oldest female penguins at Jenkinson's Aquarium, and she's also the largest of all the female penguins. She was born on January 13, 1986, making her 31 years old!

One of the things Jewel enjoys is protecting her nest box, and if you are wondering what one of her favorite toys is, it might surprise you. You don't have to buy some spectacular gift to make Jewel happy. Her favorite toy is a rock!
