We've heard of many homes and buildings being haunted at the Jersey Shore, but a haunted beach?

Well, believe it or not, there are stories of a beach being haunted, but for this story, you have to do a little traveling. It's a short trip to the charming town of Cape May for this Jersey Ghost story.

The way the story goes, according to remax-nj.com, a man named Thomas Higbee once owned the Higbee Hotel, and his dying wish was to be buried on that property, and even though his body was moved to a nearby cemetery, Thomas's spirit remained behind at the beach.

Thomas's spirit can apparently be seen taking night time walks along the beach with a big black bog. So much for a quiet, romantic walk on the beach, right?
