Halloween is still a few weeks away, but you can get into the spirit this weekend with these spooktacular events.

Oh, IT’s coming… Friday the 13th that is, with a Free Movie night at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park.  The feature? The 1990 original film, Stephen King’s “IT” starting at 7 pm.

Friday, it’s Tavernfest at the Allen House (c. 1710) in Shrewsbury, an evening of tavern spirits, music, and fare.  Brew courtesy of Carton Brewing, bottles courtesy of Rumson Wine & Spirits and Laird & Company. Barbeque Buffet by award-winning Local Smoke, open bar, Chance Auction, 50/50, Period Music by Tom and Marianne Tucker, entertainment by RipTide and so much more!

Get into the Halloween Spirit this Friday and Saturday at the Historic Village at Allaire for a spine-chilling retelling of Edgar Allan Poe’s famous tales, taking place at the Allaire Chapel beginning at 7:30 pm.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday get Scared in NJ at the PNC Bank Arts Center the Legend of the Jersey Devil in a Multi-attraction event featuring the Pine barren maze, Mother Leed’s Haunted Cottage, and Blood Drums Live.

Brookdale Haunted Theatre, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday… Are you brave enough to take on the demented imaginations of our student’s minds? Designed, built and run by past and present students. This tormented trip through body parts, evil creatures and more will redefine “stage fright"...FOREVER!!!

Truck-Tober Fest at the Joseph Bolger Middle School in Keansburg, Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM. Admission is free to get up close and inside construction, agricultural & emergency vehicles. Jump in the bounce house and hang with local businesses, Organizations, food trucks, a magician & a balloon artist

3rd Annual Food Trucks on the Waterfront at Mathis Plaza in South Toms River, Saturday 11 AM – 6 PM.  All kinds of tasty treats, craft vendors, and rides for the kids.

Foodstock 2017 happening Saturday, benefitting Foodstock NJ at the Freehold Independent Firehouse #1. Enjoy live music, burgers, dogs, chili, desserts and more.  Admission is free, please bring non-perishable food items or a donation.

The Navesink Maritime Association Annual BBQ with the clarity Project, Saturday noon to 3 PM at the Monmouth Boat Club in Red Bank.  A collection of classic and wooden boats will visit Monmouth Boat Club and more. 

Saturday and Sunday its Laurita Winery’s Harvest Festival with corn hole, checkers, vineyard tours, tasty eats, kids’ activities and more.

Sunday enjoy Food Trucks and Football on the Bay on Lavallette Beach. Come out for the 2nd annual Food Trucks & Football on the bay with live streaming football in the gazebo, tailgate games, children’s activities & beer and wine for sale, 11 AM – 6 PM.
