Authorities say two people were wounded in a second straight night of shootings in Neptune. Police say no one was killed either Sunday night or Monday. Police say the two men shot at about 11 pm did not appear to have life-threatening injuries. Their names have not been released. On Sunday, two Asbury Park men were wounded. That same night, police say there was also a fight and one man was stabbed.

The Oceanic Bridge between Rumson and Middletown is open again after a malfunction last night closed it for more than 2 hours and backed up traffic. Police say there was a malfunction with the pin-locking system that secures the bridge from moving when it’s down.
Three distressed swimmers were rescued off Island Beach State Park yesterday afternoon. Seaside Park and Seaside Heights rescue crews pulled them safely out of the strong rip currents.
Timing of traffic signals on Rt. 549 in Ocean County is due for a change. County officials are spending $273,000 for technology to coordinate Hooper Avenue and Brick Boulevard signals. Officials hope to ease jams and cut pollution.
A Farmingdale man is charged with drunk driving, reckless driving and other motor vehicle violations after crashing his motorcycle in Tinton Falls late Saturday on Rt. 33. Andrew Kees was thrown from the motorcycle and treated at a hospital.
A Manalapan man fell 20 feet from a tree outside a home on Gordons Corner Road. It’s unclear why the 67-year old was up there Sunday afternoon. He was flown to the hospital after being stabilized by first responders.
A Brick Township man is accused of stealing a gun, prescription drugs and a bicycle from his mother’s Howell home. Luis Santori was charged with burglary earlier this month.
