Governor Christie is headed back to the Jersey Shore for his latest in a series of summer town hall events. The governor will speak in Long Branch today as part of his No Pain, No Gain tour. The event is at 3 pm in the amphitheater on McKinley Avenue.

Six Flags Great Adventure has apologized to a marine who wasn't allowed in because he was wearing a shirt with a red, white and blue rifle pictured on it. Reports say the president of Six Flags Great Adventure called Mario Alejandro this past weekend to apologize. A spokeswoman for the park says it didn't realize Alejandro's shirt was related to a military charity.

Two people accused of trying to bring heroin into Six Flags Great Adventure over the weekend were arrested by Jackson police in separate incidents. One man fled from the front gate but was tracked down when he left his ID, and a woman was detained at the gate for allegedly having ten wax folds of heroin.

Brick Township police make five arrests as part of the Cops in Shops detail. Police working undercover over the weekend took two individuals into custody on drug and driver's license violation charges at the Buy Rite Liquors. An adult and two juveniles were arrested at Wine World attempting to buy alcohol for underage people. Those busted were from Brick, Point Pleasant, Wall, and Beachwood.

Questions over the way Ocean County government does business come under scrutiny as the contract of a politically connected engineer, at the center of sexual harassment complaints, is repeatedly renewed. The controversy stems from the repeated contract renewals, perks and generous increases given to engineer Joseph Veni, who is accused of sexually harassing county employees.

Repairs to the Glimmer Glass bridge between Manasquan and Brielle will take much longer than expected. Monmouth County Freeholder Tom Arnone says police are still looking for the driver of the overweight truck that caused the damage. Arnone says that's what's to blame for the potential ten months of detours you'll be facing as crews get to work. He says it's a bad situation but could have been even worse.

The public will get a chance to hear the Friends of Forge Pond NJ's ideas for the former Foodtown site on Rt. 70 in Brick at a meeting tomorrow evening at the Brick library. The group says they'd like to see a smaller scale national hotel, a community and aquatic center and pedestrian and boat access to Forge Pond, as opposed to a redeveloper's plan to build 190 condos and 72 apartments on top of a strip mall. But the agreement was made under the former Acropolis administration, and Mayor John Ducey says the township has to abide by it for now.
