When it comes to saving calories leading up to the big Thanksgiving meal, the Jersey Shore is basically not, according to a recent poll.

Most people are shying away from saving their calories for Thanksgiving day, with 43% of those responding saying they'll wait out the whole holiday season and just start a diet in January.

Nearly one third of the people surveyed (29%) said they'll just eat a little of everything on Thanksgiving to keep the calorie count down. About 14% say they do a some prep by watching calories in the weeks leading up to the big feast.

Another 14% say they only watch their calories in the week leading up to Thanksgiving. So it looks like most Jersey Shore residents will not spend too much time thinking calories until after the meal and after the need for your comfortable pants.
