Justin Bieber Fans Outraged by Disney’s Pun

If there’s one thing you definitely don’t want to do, it’s piss off a mob of angry Beliebers. Disney learned the sting of the backlash firsthand when they jokingly called Justin Bieber a girl on a show recently, which sent his fans into a wave of rage, boycotting the station.

Apparently, Disney’s brand new series ‘Jessie’ about a smalltown girl in New York alluded that a female character had resemblances to the Biebs. That didn’t sit well with his millions of fans — within a few minutes, they had ‘Disney is pathetic‘ trending on Twitter.

The network has been in the business of upsetting viewers as of late, it seems. In December, the Mickey Mouse channel ran an episode of ‘Shake it Up’ which made light of eating disorders, something that former ‘Sonny With a Chance’ star Demi Lovato is a victim of. “I find it really funny how a company can lose one of their actress’ from the pressures of an EATING DISORDER and yet still make joke about that very disease….. #nice,” Lovato tweeted just before Christmas.

The channel realized their wrongdoing and quickly cleared things up with the ‘Give Your Heart a Break‘ singer, but her fans have not forgotten and continue to tweet about the incident. Somehow, we don’t think Bieber’s will forget anytime soon, either. There’s always the next generation, right Disney?
