Billboard reports she'll be the halftime show performer at Super Bowl XLIX on February 1, 2015 in Arizona.

She reportedly beat out Rihanna and Coldplay for the job, though it's really no surprise they picked her.

KP has mass appeal to both men and women, tons of hits, and a huge number of KatyCats that will undoubtedly tune in to see her (more than 58 MILLION people follow her on Twitter, and as of last week she is the most followed user on the site...) which is the biggest reason to have someone perform right? To get viewers?

It was an easy choice, that's for sure. I loved last year's performance by Bruno Mars, mostly because I think he's a truly talented performer -- his voice is amazing.

Katy is more 'entertainer' than musician, but that could make for a fun show!

I'm calling it: I think she'll do 'Roar', 'Firework', 'Teenage Dream', 'Dark Horse', and 'California Gurls.' Pretty sure I should get the next day off if I'm right...
