Longtime Brick Retailer to Close its Doors

A mainstay on Route 88 will reportedly be shutting down soon.

According to Brick Shorebeat, Kmart purchased advertising with them announcing "everything must be sold" and that they have "millions in inventory."

As seen in a picture here, there are store closing signs hanging in the store's window.

It's worth noting that there has not been a formal announcement by Kmart or Sears Holding Company about the Brick Kmart. There is also no closing timeline.

Shorebeat adds:

The advertisement lists numerous departments where deep discounts will be offered, as well as 70 percent off jewelry.

The trend of Kmart and Sears stores closing at the Shore, and nationwide sadly continues.
