Lakewood man arrested for dealing kiddie porn

Distributing child porn leads to a Lakewood Township man's arrest.

Gershon Biegeleisen, 28, of Lakewood was arrested following an investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutors Office and Township Police and is now charged with Second Degree Distribution of Child Pornography and Third Degree Possession of Child Pornography.

Biegeleisen was taken into custody Thursday morning at a Columbus Avenue (186-A) residence in Lakewood and put in the Ocean County Jail pending a first appearance in court for a hearing.

The arrest stems from a referral by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force indicating someone within Ocean County had downloaded and was sharing images of prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s High Tech Crime Unit (HTCU), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and Lakewood Police Department teamed up in this latest proactive operation to stop child exploitation.

The public is reminded that criminal charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
