42-year-old Robert Faison is charged with attacking Douglas Joyner and Jacqueline Donaldson around 6:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Police found Faison around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night and took him to the Ocean County Jail. He is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. His bail has been set at $80,000.

Officials say that the woman was stabbed in her left arm and on the right side of her body. The man was stabbed in his chest and rear end.

Both victims were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune; their injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

Police have not discussed a motive for the stabbings.

Meanwhile, Tent City residents are planning to hold a memorial service today for the resident who died in his sleep Thursday.

Reports say the man, who is being identified only as Petey, came to the United States from Mexico and became a U.S. citizen.  Members of the encampment say Petey shared a shanty with three other Hispanic men, was unemployed and became ill over the past year.

Police say an autopsy is being performed but his death does not appear to be suspicious.
