Latest Rumor on What’s Replacing the Old Wall Foodtown Space

Foodtown in Wall closed its doors in June after 43 years. We have new information on what may be built on that space. If it's true, it's going to be huge.

I'm sure I'm not in the minority in thinking that Shoprite on Route 35 in Belmar is long overdue for an upgrade. Sources are telling us that Belmar's Shoprite may be in for more than a simple renovation.

The latest rumor is that the owners of Shoprite of Belmar have purchased the land where the now abandoned Foodtown sits. The plan is to build a Super Shoprite in Wall and shift their operation to the new space. We're told the time frame for the project is approximately two years.
