Hazlet Township Police sent out an alert to residents last night that work on the railroad bridge over Laurel Ave. in Holmdel was completed ahead of schedule, and the roadway was set to reopen.

As of today, drivers have reported the roadway is in fact open to traffic, making it much easier for those who exit the Parkway at 114 in Middletown to get to Routes 35 and 36.

Drivers have been detoured off Laurel Ave. at both Rt. 35 and Holland Rd. since early August, which has caused traffic tie-ups in surrounding areas of Middletown, Holmdel, and Hazlet.
