The Jersey Shore experienced some wicked weather earlier this week. Tuesday's storm produced lightning that sent four Ocean Grove lifeguards to the hospital.

At around 2:30 p.m. lightning struck the sand dangerously close to the Main Avenue Beach lifeguard stand.

Officials say that none of the guards were struck by the lightning and were sent to Jersey Shore Medical Center as a precaution. Shortly after, all four guards were released.
