Local High Schoolers Raise Big Money for Kids with Cancer
Teens stayed up dancing for 12 hours for a great cause!
It was the fifth annual Squan-A-Thon at Manasquan High School. It began Friday night and the teens danced non-stop 'til Saturday morning to help local families of children with cancer.
Congratulations to all of these teens who stayed awake and on their feet for so many hours.
They raised a record amount of money for children in our community battling cancer.
They also presented statistics such as these:
-- In the U.S. every day, 7 kids die from cancer
-- 36 kids are diagnosed with cancer every day
Thank you, teens from Manasquan, Brielle, Sea Girt, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights, Belmar, and Avon, for doing your part to help support these kids and their families. You are incredible role models for younger children of what can be accomplished with a meaningful high school fundraiser such as this one.
