Lonely Cat Takes Care of Stray Kittens

A mommy cat whose owner died is now caring for some kittens that were brought to the Monmouth County SPCA!

Our Point Pets of the Week are Sparkle and her five kittens. The Monmouth County SPCA says Sparkle is a 4-year-old whose owner passed away.

When Sparkle came to the shelter, she was beside herself and wouldn't eat. She cried constantly for her owner.

Then one of the volunteers at the MCSPCA took Sparkle home with her and 5 foster kittens. Ever since, Sparkle has blossomed in her role as 'foster mommy'.

As you can see, the kittens love Sparkle and she is now eating, purring, and rolling over for belly rubs.

When the kittens are old enough to be adopted, Sparkle will also be looking for her own forever home. OR, maybe you'd consider taking Sparkle AND one or two of her kittens home!
