The real estate site Movato has named Long Branch the third most exciting place in NJ!It started with 50 of the most populated areas in the state. The results and ranking were based on:

  • Bars and clubs
  • Live music venues
  • Parks and outdoor activities
  • Arts and entertainment venues
  • Restaurants
  • Percentage of young residents
  • Population density

Here's the top 10:

  1. Hoboken
  2. Palisades Park
  3. Long Branch
  4. Atlantic City
  5. Trenton (?!)
  6. New Brunswick
  7. Hackensack
  8. Clifton
  9. Union City
  10. Jersey City

Long Branch has an amazing boardwalk and its restaurants and hot spots can't be beat. It makes complete sense for Long Branch to make the top 10.

I pretty much agree with the rundown with the exception of Trenton. Trenton? Our capitol belongs on a lot of lists (not all bad) but definitely not "most exciting in NJ!"

Where is Asbury Park and Red Bank on this list?
