I felt so much Jersey pride last night while I was watching the 12-12-12 Sandy Relief Concert. There were so many amazing moments provided by superstars that we are all proud to call our neighbors.

Could there have been better moments than Bruce calling Jon Bon Jovi on stage, or for Jon to return the favor during his set? I have to say the Bon Jovi/Bruce version of "Who Says You Can't Go Home" was one of the highlights of an amazing night for me.

It was also really touching to hear Jon Stewart's memories of the Shore and great to hear him sharing his love for our area. It's pretty awesome to hear how much the Jersey Shore means to some of the biggest celebrities around. Deep down, we probably already knew that, but it really is nice to hear, especially now.

On the other hand, seeing the pictures and videos again was difficult. By now, we've probably seen them all, but it just isn't any easier to look at them. And it never will be any easier, and for way too many Jersey Shore residents, no pictures are necessary.

The night was pretty amazing, and I think the show was handled with genuine care and sensitivity. All those amazing performers getting together to help us. They were there to help us rebuild, restore and feel good. And for that, we say thank you.
