This is our fourth annual Meatball Gala and we will be judging over 25 meatballs from some of the best restaurants at the Jersey Shore!

Somehow or other, Lou and I got crowned 'King and Queen of the Meatball' and take part in judging a fun contest for a great cause.

The Meatball Gala in Wall Township benefits Wall High School Project Graduation, an all-night, drug-and alcohol-free party held each year for graduating high school seniors. The goal of Project Graduation is to arrange for the students to have a great night in celebration of their graduation while ensuring their safety.

Since graduation night is historically a time when teens confuse 'partying' with 'celebrating', Project Graduation ensures the kids will come home healthy (if exhausted, lol) the next day. But this event costs up to $20,000 each year.

The annual Meatball Gala helps raise funds for this great cause. We'll be judging categories like Best Traditional Meatball, Most creative Meatball, Best Swimming Meatball, Best Non-Meat Meatball, Most Oddball Meatball, and more! And we aren't the only judges...there is a whole panel of judges...plus a People's Choice award voted on by those attending the gala.

At the end of the night we will award the 'Best in Show: The Meanest Meatball of the Jersey Shore' to the absolute best meatball.

This great event, which sells out every year, is sponsored by Wall Cares, Inc., a non-profit dedicated to the Wall Township community.

All money raised through the Gala will be donated by Wall Cares to the Wall Alliance for the Prevention of Drug and Alcohol Abuse, the group that funds and organizes Project Graduation.

Stay tuned for the results of the Jersey Shore's best meatball. What's your favorite meatball at the shore?
