Liz and I are kicking off a special broadcast that will last 13 hours. The show is called "A Point In Time" and is a look back at some unbelievable stories from people who were on the front lines protecting us and our communities as well as a look ahead to the progress of our rebuilding process.

Throughout the day, you will hear from Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden as he tells the story of Sandy from his perspective.

You will also hear from Megan Baglivio and Jonathan Miller, first responders in Point Pleasant Beach who helped others, even as their home was being destroyed by Sandy. You will be amazed at who came to their aid.

We also spoke with the team of dedicated Jenks workers who lived at the aquarium during Sandy and long after to keep the animals safe. Hear from them firsthand the frightening moments they went through together literally at the front door of Sandy.

As Jenkinson's looks ahead we'll meet the sand castle builder who will begin construction today on "Sandycastle" which, when completed will hold the world record for largest sand castle in the world.

Our own Laurie Cataldo and Matt Ryan will also join in throughout the day with their unique perspective on the storm as well as reports on progress throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

We will also have opportunities for you to help Hometown Heroes help people recover from Sandy all over the Jersey Shore.

Please listen throughout the day for this special show, and if you can, please stop by. All are welcome!
