I hit the road yesterday as I continue to train for my series of 5K's, culminating with the big Insane Inflatable 5k in September.

My first one is this weekend. It's the first leg of the Meridian Heart and Sole Cup at Ocean Medical Center. It's a very meaningful day for me, because it was at that very hospital that I committed to the runs as I recovered from my October heart attack. And here I am just days away from completing a 5K. Pretty cool!

You can see from the video that the training has not been easy, or pretty! But I wanted to post this to hopefully remind everyone that if I can do it, so can you. That's me trying to talk after a little under a mile and a half on a hot, humid day. Key word there...trying!

My 5k summer schedule wraps up with the awesome Insane Inflatable 5K which will take place on the beach in Seaside Park on September 6th and is going to be incredible! the course will include over a dozen inflatable obstacles and a ton of fun for everyone!

You don't want to miss the Insane Inflatable 5K! Get all the details on registration at the Insane inflatable 5K website.
