Lunch Break in Red Bank has been around for over 30 years, helping those in need in our area. They provide meals, clothing, special services and assistance.

Lunch Break's mission statement is "freely providing life’s basic necessities – food, clothing and fellowship for our community members in need. Our mission is to alleviate hunger and lead those we serve to self-sufficiency and healthier lifestyles. We serve everyone, with compassion and dignity" according to the Lunch Break website.

Last year Lunch Break served over 61,000 hot lunches. They also have a Suited For Success program which provides attire for job interviews. And their food pantry provides, on average, food to over 750 families every month.

Lunch Break Director of Development Kate McMahon joined us on the morning show today to talk about all that the organization provides and you can help and how you can get help as well.

Lunch Break is one of the organizations participating in the OceanFirst Foundation Charity Challenge. It's a great opportunity for charity organizations to get some additional exposure and a chance at a grant of two, three or ten thousand dollars in the fundraising competition.
