Quick Chek announced Monday that they are making a major change so they can better focus on food and beverage sales.

Later this month, Quick Chek pharmacies will be no more. The company will transfer all customer records to CVS. Truthfully, until this past summer when I stopped in the Pt. Pleasant location, I had no idea that some Quick Cheks even had pharmacies. They are few and far between. Pharmacies are currently in Bayonne, Beachwood, Ewing, Fords, North Bergen, Passaic, Point Pleasant, Scotch Plains, and Totowa.

If you have prescriptions at one of these locations, you will be notified by your Quick Chek pharmacy soon, if you haven't been already. The company said in a release that they will be transferring customer records to their nearest CVS unless customers decide to take their business elsewhere. Quick Chek is saying that the roughly sixty employees that are currently pharmacy workers will get interviews and job opportunities with CVS.

Once the Quick Chek stores with pharmacies transition out, all nine locations will be remodeled to the Quick Cheks we all know and love.
