A line striping truck that overturned on Route 18 in Colts Neck on Wednesday morning left two people dead and a third person hospitalized.

Route 18 northbound was expected to remain closed into the afternoon as an investigation continues into the incident.

The truck overturned onto the center median as it traveled northbound between Route 34 and Route 537 in Colts Neck, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Charlie Webster, who said no other vehicles were involved.

All three people inside, who were not identified by Webster, were ejected onto highway; two of those ejected were pronounced dead at the scene.
