Making Strides Point Pleasant A Huge Success

The Making Strides event in Point Pleasant yesterday was an amazing display of what the Jersey Shore can accomplish when we put out minds to it.

My wife Diane helped coordinate a team at her work and I was proud to participate in the Making Strides walk with her yesterday. The teamwork, love and commitment to this amazing cause were evident everywhere you looked.

There were teams paying tribute to those lost, teams led by survivors, and teams of generous people who want to make a positive difference in the battle against this terrible disease.

I just wanted to take a minute to pay tribute to everyone who participated by walking, donating or sponsoring this amazing event and wonderful cause. It made me so proud to be a resident of the Jersey Shore.

According to the Making Strides website, the event raised well over $600,000. Congratulations to everyone involved!
