I went to the mall yesterday. I was not prepared. I said on the air yesterday I was thinking about heading to the mall after work, but didn't want to deal with looking for parking and the crowds and the general insanity I figured the mall would be. It was just as bad as I imagined.

A very nice listener named Debbie called in at around 9 a.m. to tell me that she hit the mall at 7 a.m. and was pleased to find 'nobody there'. She then went to the Jackson Outlets and told me the crowds there were nearly non-existant, and that if I went to the mall when I was done with my shift at 10 a.m. I should be okay.

I left here at 10:01 a.m. and headed to Freehold Raceway Mall...along with everyone else in Monmouth County. I had to park in Guam, and when I walked in, you would have thought stores were giving things away for free. There was a line of people waiting just to GET IN to the Apple Store. That's not even counting the wait once you get inside the store and do what you need to do!

I went to one store, bought a pair of pants (65% off!!!), luckily didn't even have to stand in line, and then figured since that experience was pretty good...I'd see what else I could find. I went in one other store, and immediately realized that I have zero patience for shopping in a crowd, so I left.

As much as I love shopping, it's just so much easier to do everything online!!

Did you brave any stores yesterday? Comment below!
