Man Steals Children’s Charity Donation Jar from Ocean County Wawa

You have to be a certain kind of person to be a thief…but you have to be a real scumbag to steal from a children’s charity.

Jackson Police report that on Sunday night at around 10:20 p.m. a man went into the Wawa at 10 Manhattan Street and stole a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation donation container. It’s unknown how much money was in the container.

Luckily the man was caught on surveillance camera, and an off-duty officer from another town identified the suspect, but there’s no word on if he’s been arrested yet.

He was originally described as a heavy set white male in his early twenties, approximately 5’8”, with short black hair. (I’d like to describe him in a much more colorful way, but I’ll refrain.) He is thought to have left the store with another man in a silver colored sedan. I bet whoever he left with is a real winner too.

I love that his shirt quotes Drake’s song lyrics, ‘Started from the bottom, now we’re here.’

You’re still at the bottom, buddy.

If you have any additional information on this, call the Jackson Police Department at 732-928-1111.
