New Jersey State Police recover a man's body from the Shrewsbury River. Officials told the Asbury Park Press the body was spotted by passing fishermen late Monday afternoon and taken to the Gateway Marina.

The discovery follows the intense search for a fisherman Edward Broderick, 38 who went missing after his clamming boat sank on December 14th. The search turned up skeletal remains earlier this weekend but an autopsy revealed that those remains were not huma.

State Police told the paper that the body was in a state of decomposition and that an autopsy would be conducted by the Monmouth Medical Examiner's Office Tuesday.
