Marlboro Police Chief Peter Pezzullo to appear on 'Ask The Chief'

He is in charge of overseeing the safety and security of the residents in Marlboro in Monmouth County and on Wednesday March 11, Marlboro Police Chief Peter Pezzullo will join us for Townsquare Media Jersey Shore's 5th episode of 'Ask The Chief'.

Our 'Ask The Chief' show and digital video series is an opportunity for Jersey Shore Police Chiefs to join us in the newsroom and answer questions submitted by residents as well as by our news team and discuss current events, safety procedures, community programs and more.

Toms River Police Chief Mitch Little joined us for episode 1 and he was followed by Brick Police Chief James Riccio in episode 2, Barnegat Police Chief Keith Germain joined us for episode 3 and Stafford Police Chief Tom Dellane joined us for episode 4 in our series.

Chief Pezzullo will be discussing a variety of topics in our discussion on 'Ask The Chief' and we are taking your question submissions to bring up on the show which will be produced in our newsroom and posted on our Facebook page and YouTube channel following production.

From the fall of 2019 until the beginning of 2020, Marlboro Police were among several departments who participated in the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office pilot program which offers law enforcement internships to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Growth Through Opportunity program, supported by grants from The Arc of the United States and The Arc of New Jersey, aims to give special-needs citizens the opportunity to gain valuable job and social skills, in non-emergency situations.

During a special graduation ceremony for the five cadets, Marlboro Police Chief Peter Pezzullo addressed the graduates and their families.

"When I look at the five young men that sit before me, three words come to mind: courage, commitment, and character. Those are three very important traits," Chief Pezzullo said.

Chief Pezzullo said the cadets evolved over the 16-week program, and "changed the lives" of those who work for the participating agencies.
