The opening is good news all around as residents of Monmouth County have been rallying for a Whole Foods for quite some time and the store will employ 260. Why Marlboro? Whole Foods executives say location, location, location. Western Monmouth County makes it easier for the grocery store to access nearby farms to keep up with their promise of selling local and fresh products.

Unique to the Marlboro Whole Foods will be their "Barbeque Bar" offering prepared southern and regional-style dishes.

New Whole Foods stores "break bread" as a tradition. That will happen Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. with the official opening at 9.

Even better news, a spokesman for Whole Foods said that 8 more New Jersey locations are on the way and a Wall location is scheduled to open in 2016.
