Max’s Famous Hot Dogs Named One of the Best in America

Congrats to Long Branch's legendary Max's Hot Dogs for being named the one the best dogs in America!

The Daily Meal announced their list of the 75 Best Hot Dogs in America and Max's Famous ranked 74.

The site says they "called on food writers, bloggers and journalists from around the country" to submit their favorite spots and came up with 75 of the best.

The Daily Meal was particularly impressed by Max's variety of toppings that "run the gamut" from mustard or spicy or sweet relish to chili, cheese, sauerkraut, bacon, coleslaw and chopped onions.

On a personal note, I love the fact that they've been around since 1928 and they have the best sweet potato fries you will ever eat.

Other Jersey spots mentioned include: No. 70 Tommy's in Elizabeth, No. 59 Jimmy Buff's Italian Hot Dogs in West Orange, and No. 12 Rutt's Hut in Clifton.
