Mets To World Series

Mets fans all over the Jersey Shore are rejoicing. Our embattled and beloved team is heading to the World Series.

It has been 15 years since the last time the Mets have appeared in the World Series and 29 years since the Mets won one. There is no question , Jersey Shore Mets fans have been waiting a long time for this. And there's no doubt, we've been through a lot along the way.

What makes it even more amazing is that the thought of this type of success was a distant dream as recently as late July. If there's ever been a group of fans that needed a late season surprise that went in our favor, it's us.

I've been a Mets fan my whole life, and that means I've been on a baseball roller coaster. If you've been a Mets fan for any length of time, you know exactly what I mean. Here's my advice to us. Let's appreciate what this very likable bunch of hardworking ball players have given us...a summer and fall full of exciting memories and great baseball that we'll never forget.

So, whatever happens in the World Series and beyond, we'll always have this amazing run to remember fondly. Let's go Mets!
