Middletown Dog was Surrendered when Owners Moved

This is Richie, a 5-year old Terrier mix who was surrendered to the Monmouth County SPCA when his family had to move. This always breaks my heart, and this poor dog did nothing to deserve being abandoned by his family.

Richie is a total love bug and is always happy to see his staff and volunteer friends at the shelter. Time with them when they take him on a road trip relieves the stress he is feeling from shelter life. He was used to a home and doesn't understand why he isn't there anymore.

Richie loves long walks and playing with his favorite toys and tennis balls in Sweetie Park. This affectionate boy would love to curl up right next to you. He is the perfect companion!
