It has recently been reported that New Jersey has the highest rate of autism in the United States and Monmouth County Sheriff Shaun Golden want to be sure Monmouth County's first responders have all the information they need.

Today is World Autism Day and Sheriff Golden joined Lou & Liz this morning to talk about the subject. The statistics in our area are staggering. Across the nation, one in 68 children are affected, but here in New Jersey, it's one in 45, according to nj.com.

Sheriff Golden believes that Monmouth County is "by far out front with our autism awareness efforts", according to the report.
