Moose will be getting some treats from Evesham Police.

The department's K-9 helped sniff out cocaine and illegal pharmaceutical pills at a traffic stop on Route 73 by Evesham Road Wednesday in the township around 10:00 pm.

A police officer patrolling the deparment's 'DDACTS Zone', (Data Driven Approach to Crime and Traffic Safety), spotted a driver navigating their vehicle in a careless manner.

After the car was pulled over, Moose was called in to detect possible narcotics in the car.

Moose walked around the exterior of the car and then alerted officers to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.

That's when the cocaine and pills were found.

Kashiana Bastone, 26, of Pine Hill, NJ was charged with 3rd degree Possession of Cocaine and Pharmaceutical Pills and a disorderly person's offense for Hindering.

She was put in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.

Sandra Howard, 60, of Philadelphia Pa was charged with 3rd degree Possession of Cocaine and DUI.

She was released on her own recognizance.

Evesham Police say "DDACTS integrates location-based crime and traffic data to establish effective and efficient methods for deploying law enforcement and other resources.

Using geo-mapping to identify areas that have high incidences of crime and crashes, DDACTS uses traffic enforcement strategies that play a dual role in fighting crime and reducing crashes and traffic violations.

Drawing on the deterrent of highly visible traffic enforcement and the knowledge that crime often involves the use of motor vehicles, the goal of DDACTS is to reduce the incidence of crime, crashes, and traffic violations in Evesham Township."
