On the heels of 60 degree weather, the Jersey Shore is preparing for some snow. Welcome to March in New Jersey.

Here's the morning update from our meteorologist Dan Zarrow on what we can expect. Dan says the heaviest of the snow will likely be a Friday morning event throughout Monmouth & Ocean Counties and we could see accumulations of 1 to 2 inches.

The snow is expected to taper off by late morning, but the morning rush could be challenging with slippery conditions possible and accumulating snow making the ride to work a slow one.

And then we follow that up with extremely cold temperatures over the weekend. Dan does not expect daytime highs on Saturday or Sunday to get above 35 degrees..So let's all brace for a shot of winter over the next few days.

Snow in March is certainly nothing new to us here at the Jersey Shore, but for those of us who are summer lovers and who have already put winter mentally behind us, it looks like we'll have to rewind a bit and bundle up for this weekend.
